JEWISH COMMUNITY OF PANČEVO TODAY

After terrible losses caused by Holocaust, the main goal of the Community is to ensure existence, continuity and heritage of the Jewish Community in Pančevo and in the South Banat region. One of the important goal, including preservation of identity fostering Jewish history and tradition, is improvement of multicultural coexistence within Jews and other peoples and ethnic groups in its environment. In this regard the Community organizes the exhibitions on Jewish themes, concerts of Jewish music, lectures on Judaism, literary events, debates etc., and cooperates with cultural institutions, other ethnic communities and non-governmental organizations.

JC of Pančevo has no its own room. The whole activity is being done in rented premises.
